Camille Parcq is a certified professor of History-Geography and a doctoral candidate in Contemporary History at the University of Limoges and at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in History, Art History and Musicology (Criham) under the supervision of Professor Soazig Villerbu. His dissertation titled “Newspapers and Journalism during the Civil War: The Bee of New Orleans, the Memphis Daily Appeal, the Daily Missouri Republican, and the Evansville Daily Journal” focuses on wartime journalistic practices across the study of the Mississippi Valley and the Ohio, in a border territory between slavery and Free States and between Union and Confederation.
