Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”, said on Tuesday: The vaccine is so effective that “almost every corona death, especially in adults, is completely preventable at this point”. The study results reflect predictions made by US experts. Andy Slavitt, a former health advisor, predicted that up to 99 percent of Americans who died of the coronavirus were not vaccinated.
Despite the positive interim balance of vaccinations, demand has recently fallen. Young people in particular are the least likely to be vaccinated. Experts now fear that such avoidable deaths among unvaccinated people will continue into autumn and winter.
