At times, the wind speed reached 320 km / h
At least 150 people were injured after a tornado struck the southern border of the Czech Republic. According to local authorities, there are currently three victims of the disaster. The phenomenon is extremely rare for the country. The wind speed was between 260 and 320 kilometers per hour, making it the strongest storm in the history of the Czech Republic.
Roofs of buildings have been removed, windows have been smashed and cars have been pinned down by fallen trees. Serious damage was inflicted in 7 settlements in the region.

The press center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that at the moment there are no data on Bulgarian citizens injured after the severe tornado storm that broke out in the southeastern regions of the Czech Republic.
So far, our embassy in Prague has not received signals from distressed Bulgarian citizens or official data from the Czech authorities about our compatriots affected by the natural disaster.
