PT Bank Central Asia Tbk or BCA launching soon bank digital. Currently, the leaked name of the digital bank created by BCA has begun to be revealed.
Executive Vice President Secretariat & Corporate Communication of BCA Hera F. Haryn said that BCA’s digital banking institutions continue to use the name Bank BCA Digital.
“The name of the permanent institution is Bank BCA Digital,” he told CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (25/6).
Meanwhile, BCA is also preparing an operational platform for Bank BCA Digital called BLU. Currently, the company is preparing to launch Bank BCA Digital, both institutionally and on the platform.
“The bank’s operational platform is in an application called BLU,” he added.
Bank BCA Digital’s platform is known from a verified Instagram account named @blubybcadigital. Hera confirmed that the account was an official BCA Digital account. The account already has over 3,000 followers.
“Yes, that’s right. BCA Digital’s Instagram account is @blubybcadigital,” he said.
Then, there is also a blue ticked Twitter account @blubybcadigital. As of this morning, the account has only 237 followers.
Unfortunately, Hera has not been able to confirm when the BCA Digital Bank or the BLU platform can be launched and enjoyed by customers.
“Regarding the launch of BCA Digital, further information will be provided to the public through the official BCA Digital social media account. Wait for a surprise from Si #AnakBungsuBCA, BCA Digital!,” he said.
Previously, President Director of BCA Jahja Setiaatmadja targeted BCA’s digital bank to be launched in mid-2021. He said that his party was currently preparing a digital bank by converting PT Bank Royal Indonesia into BCA Digital Bank.
He said that BCA Digital Bank will be prepared to operate and attract its own market through digital banks. The main target, millennials who understand digital (digital savvy).
“We hope that around the middle of this year we can operate at the latest because we have one market, our own segment that we are targeting,” he explained at the VIP event at the CNBC Bank Digital Forum VIP event.
Jahja explained that in setting up a digital bank, his party allocated less than Rp2 trillion in equity. He said that for the initial phase, BCA digital bank will focus on raising funds (funding) and payment (payment). As for the loan, he admitted that he still had to ‘learn’ first.
