Research team at Israel have identified the type primordial man previously unknown. They coexisted with our species more than 100,000 years ago.
The research team believes that the skeletal remains found near the city of Ramla belong to one of the “last surviving” group of very ancient humans.
The find consists of part of the skull and jaw of an individual who lived between 140,000 and 120,000 years ago.
The details have been published in jurnal Science.
Research members believe that the individual descended from an earlier species, which may have spread from the region hundreds of thousands of years ago and gave rise to Neanderthals in Europe and their counterparts in Europe. Asia.
Scientists have named the newly discovered lineage the “Nesher RamlaHomo type”.
Dr Hila May of Tel Aviv University said the discovery reshaped the story of human evolution, especially about Neanderthals. The general description of Neanderthal evolution in the past is closely associated with Europe.
“It all started in Israel. We estimate that local groups are the source of the population,” he told BBC News.
“During the interglacial period, waves of people, the Nesher Ramla people, migrated from the Middle East to Europe.”
