Contact investigation scaled down, quarantine expires after injection

The contact investigation after positive corona tests will soon be scaled down. Housemates and contacts of people who have tested positive no longer need to be quarantined once they have been vaccinated. The Outbreak Management Team thinks this is justified and the cabinet will take over, NOS reports.

RIVM and GGD are still working on the elaboration of the plans, which will probably take effect next week. The GGD will still investigate where someone has become infected, but it is up to the person who has tested positive to inform people who may have been infected by him or her.

People who have received their last required shot more than 14 days ago no longer need to be quarantined when a known positive test. This also applies to people who had corona less than six months ago. The group consists of approximately 4 million people.
