Darkest Fan Theory Around ‘Loki’ Turns Out To Be True And May Have Major Consequences For The Marvel Universe

A fan theory around Loki turns out to be remarkably true. And not only that: the theory has far-reaching consequences for the Marvel universe.

SPOILERS follow from here for the third episode of Loki.

In the new episode we found out that the variant of Loki prefers to call herself Sylvie. And she’s been preparing a fight against the Time Variance Authority for years. And it turns out not to be what it seems.

Hide something sinister
A fan theory that has been circulating for some time suggests that the purpose of the TVA, the Time Keepers and the Sacret Timeline, may all be a cover for something very sinister. Moreover, fans speculate that Mobius is a man ‘out of time’, partly due to his love for jet skis.

That’s right!
Sylvie’s interactions with Hunter C-20 at the beginning of the episode indicate that this story is true. Sylvie shares a margarita with C-20 and tries to determine the location of the Time Keepers.

The background to this moment between the two is also clear: it’s about Earth, where the Hunter once had a life and purpose. Sylvie even jokes that she “hundreds of years ago” had to go to find the right memories.

Later she also tells Loki that all agents who work for the TVA are also Variant themselves. They just don’t know that anymore, because their memories have been erased.

Far-reaching implications
And that may have far-reaching implications. It could indicate that crossing from one universe to another happens more often than you might think at first glance. And that means the multiverse is alive and well in the Marvel universe and the TVA is just holding things back.

What if this series ends with the TVA and the Time Keepers being defeated and everyone can do everything again? That would be movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness good introduction.
