HOUSTON – Two of the major Houston area school districts are looking for bus drivers.
The Houston Independent School District (HISD) will be holding a job fair this Saturday, June 26 between 9 am and noon at the Hatie Mae White Educational Support Center, located at 4400 West 18th Street.
In addition to bus drivers, HISD is looking for mechanics, air conditioning technicians, and custodians, among others.
During the job fair this Saturday, there will be members of the operations teams to interview the candidates.
Those interested should bring their social security or employment authorization card and driver’s license.

Pearland ISD is looking for drivers
On the other hand, the Pearland Independent School District (Pearland ISD) is also looking for bus drivers.
They will also be holding a job fair, but this will be held on July 14 between 8 am and 11 am at Pearland ISD Stadium, located at Pearland Parkway and Oiler Drive.
Those interested will receive a minimum wage of $ 17 per hour, six hours of work per day and 12 months of pay for 10 months of work.
Likewise, they will be entitled to health benefits and paid training, among others.
