A truck, which would not have respected the red light, struck a train of the T2 line of the Lyon (Rhône) tramway, Thursday, June 24, 2021, shortly before 7:50 p.m., on avenue Berthelot.
Fortunately, no traveler was injured, TCL told Lyon news. They have all been evacuated and help is on site with the driver of the truck.
Relay buses set up
The T2 tram line therefore no longer runs between the Villon and Saint-Priest Bel Air stops. Relay buses have been set up.
Line T1 was also impacted by the accident on a common section between the two tram lines. T1 traffic was interrupted between the Quai Claude Bernard and IUT-Feyssine stops.
TCL estimates a resumption of traffic around 9:30 p.m. The teams must first assess the situation on the spot.
