VIVA – Telescope outer space, Hubble NASA is exploring the cosmos in safe mode after its payload computer suddenly crashed on June 13, 2021, according to a United States Space Agency (NASA) statement.
The computer is responsible for coordinating and controlling all the science instruments aboard the telescope. The good news is, a 31 year old satellite used to search for life alien it carries a backup computer in it.
But the bad news, after a week of troubleshooting, NASA engineers still haven’t figured out what’s wrong with the system payload in the first place, cite the page Live Science, Thursday 24 June 2021.
