Iranian footballer Ali Daei congratulated the Portuguese Cristian Ronald on breaking the record in the number of goals scored for the national team. Both have 109 accurate hits.
Ronaldo equalized Daei’s record in Wednesday’s match against France at EURO 2020, in which he converted two penalty kicks. “Congratulations to Cristian. I am honored to have achieved this remarkable goal.” Daei wrote on instagram.
The Portuguese thanked Iranian for congratulations. “True champions will remain champions forever. I am very proud that my idol Ali Daei has addressed me such kind words.” If Ronaldo scores in the round of 16 against Belgium, he will be at the top of the historical tables on Sunday.
