Microsoft OneDrive gets options to edit photos and organize photos. Until now, users could upload images automatically, but not edit them yet. OneDrive also gets a function to show images via devices with Cast support.
OneDrive will have options to adjust the exposure, contrast and shadows of images, but also rotating and cropping are possible, says Microsoft. It is also possible to overwrite the original file after editing or to save the edited image as a new file.
When uploading, there is the option to organize images according to the folders they come from. When users back up the Screenshots folder, with this option enabled, its contents will appear in the OneDrive Screenshots folder. There will also be a function to cast images via OneDrive to a Chromecast or compatible device with Cast support.
The feature is in OneDrive 6.30 or later for Android and on the web. Support for iOS devices will follow later this year, Microsoft says. The features are first on for personal accounts, work accounts will follow later this summer.
