Flooded streets and huge hailstones: parts of Baden-Württemberg were hit by extreme weather in the evening. Five people were injured.
Five people were injured in a storm in the Reutlingen region. Hailstones the size of tennis balls came from the sky on Wednesday evening, said a police spokesman on Thursday morning.
However, he was initially unable to provide any information on the degree of the injuries. In Tübingen, too, the water ran “in torrents” through the city. Traffic was severely affected and numerous houses and cars were damaged.
The emergency hotline in the region was temporarily overloaded. Twitter videos show people wading through knee-high water near Reutlingen. Reutlinger himself posted photos of large hailstones in their garden: “Everything in the garden flown over and the beautiful rose petals – oh!”
