A 21-year-old man has been sentenced to five months in prison for buying sex from a 15-year-old teenager through Snapchat.
Ninety days are subject to a two-year probationary period. The sanction is in accordance with the prosecutor’s request, writes the Bergensavisen newspaper.
The man used an escort service and believed he had met a girl his age.
“I ordered a girl, but I asked for one my age. I didn’t know she was so young, ”he said in court.
“This is something I will regret all my life,” he continued.
The Hordaland District Court finds that it did not pay enough attention to the girl’s age. The incident took place in Bergen in October last year.
