The Xunta studies “relaxing” the limits to social encounters. The clinical committee will study at its next meeting the possibility of increase the number of people per group. The president of the Xunta, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has advanced in Radio Galicia – Cadena SER one more step in the de-escalation.
If all goes according to plan and experts see fit, restrictions on social gatherings will be eased next week. Currently, only four people indoors and six outdoors are allowed; the clinical committee is already working on a proposal which will be debated and approved at its next meeting. The president of the Xunta assures that the good evolution of the pandemic in Galicia allows it. Feijóo assures that the community will reach the summer with 60% of the target population vaccinated, at least with one dose. He believes that it will be the summer of the transition towards the end of the pandemic.
In his interview in the SER, the head of the Galician executive has also assessed the situation of his party and what the relationship with Vox should be. Feijóo marks the way for Pablo Casado and puts Galicia as an example. Despite the triumph in Madrid, he reminds him that the PP should not depend on any other formation and that “What the party needs is to broaden the electorate and achieve a sufficient majority to govern.”
Regarding his future, he does not rule out opting for a fifth term in Galicia.
