The head of the Pondok Aren Health Center, drg Rosmawati, said that the symptoms of AEFI usually occur in people who have just followed immunizations. However, specifically for Agus still needs to be reviewed.
“I don’t know if he really has a history of allergies or what. Of the total 3,000 people we injected, we just heard about this,” said Rosmawati to SINDOnews at Pondok Aren Health Center, Wednesday (23/6/2021).
According to him, the symptom of AEFI is not only swelling of the face. Depending on the physical condition and allergies that the person suffers from and varies greatly.
“Yes, it could be (swelling). Every human being has an allergy in his body, it can be an allergy in the air, a food allergy, or an allergy to certain drugs, for example. It could be,” he said.

After the injection, he admitted that he did not feel any symptoms. But a day later, on June 7, 2021, he started to experience swelling on his face, presumably due to the vaccine.
Agus also contacted the number of the puskesmas officer with the vaccine certificate. He was then advised to the ER Pondok Aren Health Center. Surprisingly, the puskesmas doctor said it was okay.
“For 3 days, how come there is no reaction, it’s even more swollen,” he explained. Worried that something bad might happen, Agus contacted the officer again. This time, Agus received a referral to the Tangsel City Hospital in Pamulang.
