Son sees robbery of elderly mother on security camera, four people arrested Inland

The three women and a man entered the house on Nevenstede by introducing themselves as new neighbours. They wanted to celebrate that inside with cake with the resident. One of the women distracted her in the kitchen while the others searched the house. The son saw strangers open cupboards via the security camera in the house, presumably looking for valuables. When he couldn’t reach his mother by phone to warn her, he called the police.

One of the suspects opened the door himself when the police rang the bell. He was then able to arrest a 23-year-old woman from Capelle aan den IJssel, a 28- and 59-year-old woman from Rotterdam and a 50-year-old man from Rotterdam.
