The French Blood Establishment is appealing for donations before the summer because the reserve is cruelly low. A collection is organized at the Marcel Michelin stadium in Clermont-Ferrand on Thursday, July 1.
At the national level, the establishment would need 20,000 additional pockets. Concerning Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, it would be missing more than 230 samples every week.
“The summer period is traditionally marked by a chronic asymmetry between the availability of donors, which decreases and the needs of patients, which remain the same. This decline is usually offset by collections in June… but not this year.
See you on Thursday July 1 at the Marcel Michelin stadium, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m..
