Data Ministry of Health take notes positivity rate per day (22/6) reached 51.62 percent or one of two people who underwent the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and Molecular Rapid Test (TCM) tests were infected with the corona virus (Covid-19).
Positivity rate aka the case ratio is the percentage of the number of people who tested positive divided by the number of people tested then multiplied by 100 percent.
As for those who underwent the PCR test today as many as 24,987 people. Referring to numbers positivity rate today, then one in two people who undergo PCR and TCM tests are infected with the corona virus (Covid-19)
The details, of the 24,987 people who were tested by PCR, as many as 12,911 people tested positive for Covid-19. Meanwhile, 248 of the 505 who underwent TCM tested positive.
The rest, positive cases today were contributed by people who underwent antigen tests, namely 509 people out of 45,250 who underwent antigen tests. The total positive cases today reached 13,668 people.
Minimum threshold number positivity rate set by the World Health Organization (WHO) is less than 5 percent.
WHO also set a standard for screening 1:1,000 population per week. If you refer to these standards, it can be assumed that Indonesia’s population reaches 270 million people, so naturally 270 thousand people are examined per week.
If it is calculated, in the period of June 16-22, Indonesia has exceeded the COVID-19 inspection standard from the WHO. Within a week, Indonesia had 464,136 people examined.
It is known, Indonesia is facing a surge in Covid-19 cases and new variants. The variants in question are mutations of the SARS-CoV-2 virus which are classified as ‘Variant of Concern (VoC)’ including variants B117 Alpha, B1351 Beta, and B1617.2 Delta.
Daily data released by the Covid-19 Handling Task Force as of today, Tuesday (22/6) noted that there were 13,668 new cases of COVID-19. Meanwhile, for recovered cases, there were an addition of 8,375 cases, and 335 new cases died.
