The department recalled that it is advisable to vaccinate with the 2nd dose of the vaccine on time:
- Comirnaty/Pfizer-BioNTech – 21-28 дней;
- CoronaVac/Sinovac Biotech – 28 дней;
- Oxford / AstraZeneca – 12 weeks.
However, in case of compelling circumstances, the second dose can be administered 7 days earlier than the indicated interval for CoronaVac / Sinovac and AstraZeneca (Covishield / SKBio) vaccines.
For the Comirnaty / Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, a “window” is immediately indicated within which the vaccine can be given – between the twenty-first and twenty-eighth days after the first dose.
The second dose of COVID-19 vaccine given earlier or later than the recommended interval will be counted without having to re-administer or vaccinate from the beginning.
It is noted that at the moment there is no final deadline for the introduction of the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Therefore, if it was not possible to vaccinate with the second dose on time, this should be done as soon as possible.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health recommends vaccinating earlier or later only if absolutely necessary.
