Dacia promised, for the second half of this year, a facelift version of the current Duster generation. Official images are delayed, but the builder has offered a clue.
Dacia has several launches ready in the next period, and the first of them is coming soon. This is the facelift version of Duster 2, the current generation. Until the third generation, the manufacturer wants to keep the focus on the SUV with an improved version.
In the absence of officially presented images, Dacia offers some clues. One of them is right in the presentation clip of the new logo. At the end of it, you can see a pattern in the dark, what appears to be the facelift version of Duster.
VIDEO The first frame with Duster facelift
The facelift version of Duster 2 will be officially launched at the end of June, and the manufacturer promises the same front and rear optical blocks similar to those currently existing on Logan, Sandero or Spring (those with the Y signature). This is the detail that can be seen in the presentation video below.
Duster facelift is a small class B SUV, which will benefit from a more imposing radiator grille, which will also generate a slight lowering of the bumper. The changes will be manifested strictly in the areas of the plastic elements of the body, without involving the metal surfaces.
As for the interior, there are some improvements. Not much, but it may be right. On board will be the new multimedia system, available on the new Logan and Sandero. And that’s it. On the technical side, however, the facelift version of the Duster will be equipped with a dual-clutch transmission. The EDC transmission practically returns to the Duster models.
Those who would like a real SUV from Dacia (Dacia Spring is a small car) with hybrid or even electric propulsion have to wait a little longer. The builder can come with something like this only on Duster 3, scheduled for 2024.
