The Junior Basketball Bundesliga (NBBL) is a Germany-wide U19 league, which was launched for the 2006/2007 season on the initiative of the three shareholders Deutscher Basketball Bund, easyCredit BBL and BARMER 2. Basketball Bundesliga to attract young German basketball talents to offer a high-class platform. In combination with the youth basketball league (JBBL) introduced for the 2009/2010 season, the NBBL represents an ideal link between the first screening measures and the professional leagues, but also the national teams of the DBB.
