Protesters gathered in the capital demanding more kindergartens and nurseries, BTA reports.
About thirty parents came with their children in front of the Sofia Municipality, despite the rain, to an organized protest, at which, accompanied by children’s songs, they expressed their indignation against the impossibility of many children in the capital to be enrolled in kindergarten or nursery.

The protest marched past the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and ended in front of the National Assembly.
We want the completion of the started projects and the shock construction of new kindergartens, as far as possible, said the organizer Pavlinka Valcheva from the improvised tribune in front of the parliament.

The protesting parents also demand compensation for the unregistered children without age restrictions. According to Valcheva, the younger ones also deserve compensation. She noted that now this is due only to children over 3 years of age. She recalled that more than 12,000 children were left unaccepted in kindergartens or nurseries this year.
Tsvetoslav Tsachev, Nadia’s father, who is a year and a half old, noted that his child has not been admitted to a municipal kindergarten and will have to attend a private one in a few months.
“We will probably cope with this challenge, unfortunately, I am sure that for a large part of the people who have decided to raise a child here in Bulgaria, it will be very difficult,” he said, adding that they want not only places in kindergartens and nurseries, but also to live in a normal and well-organized country, where everyone can prosper.
It is not normal that there are no places for our children in kindergartens in the XXI century, said Irina Koleva.
