Fortuner Driver Opens Fire Near Police Complex, There are 2 Bullets at TKP : Okezone Megapolitan

JAKARTA – Viral action shooting by an unknown person using a black Toyota Fortuner car occurred in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta on Saturday 19 June 2021. The two shootings were carried out around the Pati Polri complex, South Jakarta.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim) of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Akbar, said that his party had conducted a crime scene (TKP) at the location of the shooting.

“Found at the crime scene two shells (bullets),” Akbar told reporters, Sunday (20/6/2021) night.

Akbar ensured that there were no material or casualty losses due to the ‘street cowboy’ action. Until now, investigations are still being carried out regarding witnesses to the shooting that night.

“This case is being held by the South Jakarta Police. I cannot mention (the number of witnesses). (The investigation) is still ongoing. We are still investigating the motive,” he said.

He said the police were also checking other Camera Circuit Television (CCTV) recordings around the location which may have recorded the vehicle more clearly. “We are also looking for other CCTVs that might highlight the incident,” he said.

As is known, in the CCTV footage shared by @recordjakarta, the traffic near the Pati Polri complex appears to be smooth. Several cars passed by normally.

However, at around 22.38 WIB, a black car slowed down near a red light. Suddenly the driver pulled out a gun and fired it into the air twice.

It is not yet known who the driver was and what his motive was for shooting near the Pati Police complex.
