The number of new corona infections has risen slightly in the past 24 hours. Between Saturday and Sunday, 735 new infections were registered at the RIVM. There were 702 new infections on Saturday.
The weekly average continued to fall: an average of 910 positive tests per day were registered in the past seven days. On Saturday this average was still at 954 and last Sunday at 1418.
The number of deaths from corona increased by 1. That does not mean that these people have died in the past 24 hours. When a corona patient dies, this is sometimes only passed on after a while.
