PORTUGAL and Spanish threatened to fail to qualify for the last 16 Euro 2020. That is if they lose on the final matchday of the Euro 2020 group phase which takes place this midweek.
We start from Portugal. Selection of Quinas –the nickname Portugal – currently occupies the third position in Group F of Euro 2020 after playing two matches with a collection of three points. Portugal’s three-point achievement is exactly the same as Germany in second place.

Germany has the right to occupy a better position because they have a head-to-head advantage over Portugal, considering that this morning they won 4-2 over their opponent. In the last match, Portugal will face France who are chasing a victory to hunt for a ticket to the last 16 Euro 2020 with group champion status.
If they lose to France, Portugal will almost certainly fail to qualify for the last 16 of the 2020 European Cup. Portugal will be eliminated if the results in the other groups do not support them to win the status of the four best third-placed teams. For your information, of the six third-placed teams from each group, four of them qualified for the last 16 of the 2020 European Cup.
So, if in the last match of Group A Switzerland beat Turkey, Finland defeated Belgium, Croatia beat Scotland and Poland destroyed Sweden, Portugal has been confirmed to be out of the four best ranked teams.

Because, Portugal’s three-point collection lost to Switzerland who packed four points, Finland (6), Croatia (4) and Poland (4). Therefore, it is safest for Portugal to qualify for the last 16 of the 2020 European Cup is to win one point when they meet France.
