You can expect a varied position for communication and media in the largest sports league in Germany, the Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL) with 75 clubs in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga for women and men. As part of a diverse team, you make a decisive contribution to our external appearance and are responsible for setting strategic topics, active communication with the media and stakeholders as well as advising and accompanying our management.
The VBL Center, located in the heart of Berlin at the Ostbahnhof with a view of the Spree, currently has twelve full-time employees and acts as a service center for the clubs. Your task
- Strategic communication planning: You are responsible for planning, developing new formats and the content of our communication channels (social media, website, interviews, events, sponsoring, etc.) and implementing them together with the team.
- You observe the market, identify and evaluate trends in the online / social media environment and act as a source of impetus and ideas and a hub for the Bundesliga clubs.
- You are responsible for controlling all communication measures, evaluate their success and increase the reach of the VBL
- You actively control the press and media work, e.g. coordination of press releases / interviews, expansion of the journalist network.
- You represent the VBL to the press and organize press conferences if necessary.
your profile
- You have several years of professional experience in the areas of communication, media and press work, digital marketing or journalism.
- You have experience in the conception and implementation of holistic (media) strategies and, if necessary, already gained initial management experience.
- You enjoy working with different stakeholders and have demonstrated your analytical and conceptual skills.
- You work well with common social media tracking tools and the Adobe Suite.
- Independent and structured way of working, quick comprehension, winning nature, team spirit and flexibility.
- Willingness to attend regular evening and weekend services during the season.
