Hamas MP and member of the Board of Trustees of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Marwan Abu Ras, said that under Sharia law it is a religious duty for the Islamic nation to help the Palestinians massacre their enemy.

In an interview on Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas-Gaza) on June 5, 2021, Abu Ras said that because the Palestinians were weak, the Islamic nation must come to their aid and fulfill the “divine command” to massacre the “absolute” enemy of the Islamic nation: they must “ hit their necks ”.

Marwan Abu Ras: “Yes, there must be sacrifices and blood must flow. At the time of the Crusader Wars, the blood in the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque reached the necks of the horses. We know very well that this is not a trivial matter. And if it is not a trivial matter for us, it will be for them too [die Feinde] not be. So, my dear brother, massacring this enemy is a divine command. [Der Koran sagt:] ‘So hit them on the neck and cut off every fingertip.’ Slapping this enemy on the neck is a sharia duty. He is our enemy first, but he is also the absolute enemy of the Islamic nation as a whole. There is no overriding priority here. It is our fate to live on this land and to fulfill this task. But at the same time it is the duty of the Islamic nation [in ihrer Gesamtheit]because we are weaker than the enemy.
Therefore, the Islamic nation must help us and make us strong so that we can be victorious and [das Land] that belongs to the Islamic nation and not to us alone.
