US President Joe Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, announced today the death of the older of their two dogs.
“The German Shepherd Champ” was our constant and beloved companion “for 13 years. In our happiest moments and in our saddest days he was with us, he understood our every unexpressed feeling and emotion. We love our sweet and good boy and we will always miss it, “the Biden family said in a statement.
Champ was one of two German shepherds the president and first lady brought with them to the White House.
The other German Shepherd, named Major, who was adopted by the Biden family in November 2018, has become the first rescue dog, which inhabits the White House, notes Reuters, quoted by BTA.
However, a few months ago, the 3-year-old four-legged man caused an accident, when it was reported that he showed aggression by barking, jumping and attacking the staff of the presidency and security agents. There was even a bite. Then Major and Champ were sent away for a while and returned about a month later, but the former bit another man. The explanation was that he was still getting used to the situation.
