Eduardo Elhers, president of the Raúl Alfonsín library, passionate about reading, books and culture, passed away this Friday at the age of 62.
The news caused deep regret in the cultural environment due to the noble task that he carried out for many years.
After knowing the death of the renowned librarian, there were numerous expressions of regret and support for his family.
“Passionate about books, he knew how to transmit to adults and children that love of learning and reading, always with a recommendation at hand or a timely appointment. It will leave an impossible void to fill, in the Library, in the Municipality and in the community of Bariloche ”, remarked Mayor Gustavo Gennuso.
The president of the Municipal Council, Natalia Almonacid, on behalf of the institution, expressed her condolences for the death of Eduardo Ehlers. “A person with a great vocation for service left us. Always contributing his knowledge and making available all kinds of books. We are going to miss him a lot, ”Almonacid said.
For her part, the legislator Claudia Contreras highlighted “her tireless effort and the love that she put into her work every day, to bring reading to the boys and girls of the neighborhoods. Eduardo taught and provided all his knowledge with great passion. He always had a book to recommend or a story to tell ”.
“The loss of Eduardo Ehlers is a very great shame, a person who has worked tirelessly so that the library is part of the people of Bariloche. Always committed to the community and especially to the young people whom he encouraged to participate in it. I want to say hello to their family and friends at this difficult time, “said legislator Ramón Chiocconi.
The Ombudsman, Analía Woloszczuk, remarked that “Eduardo Ehlers was an unconditional ally in the defense of the knowledge acquired through reading. Always well prepared to offer the Library space and enrich it with bibliographic material and cultural events. He leaves us a huge void and the memory of his work that will make an indelible mark ”.
