Since the new reform of health studies, two systems have coexisted: PACES (the first common year for health studies), and the creation of PASS / LAS (Specific Health Access Course / Health Access License). This cohabitation resulted in a delay in the publication of the results of the first year of health competition.
The University of La Réunion is fully committed to this new reform. The PASS (Specific Health Access Path) offers several options to students, 11 Health Access Licenses have been created, but like any new system, this implementation has encountered difficulties.

This new reform aims to put an end to the traditional path: the PACES (the first year common to health studies). This first year common to health studies was the only way to access health careers. The creation of the PASS (Specific Health Access Path) and the LAS (Health Access License) give students the chance to access studies more suited to their request. The goal is to choose a minor subject that would allow them to reorient themselves.
How to explain this delay?
Until then, each faculty independently managed the grading system, the creation of a jury and the student pathways. Today, this transversality between the faculties has resulted in a delay in the publication of competition results for first year students. The University says it is aware of the expectations of students and families. The administrative teams do their utmost to communicate these results as quickly as possible.
