The thunderstorms on the night of Friday, June 18 gave rise to intense electrical activity in the sky above the Arcachon basin. “July 14 before the hour” commented Florian Clément, from the Météo en pays de Buch Facebook page.
Friday evening, while the Stade Rochelais had just sprayed Racing in the semi-final of the Top 14 under a downpour, the sky was also rumbling above the Arcachon basin. At around 11:30 p.m., the sky appeared illuminated every two seconds by lightning. The videographers had plenty to film, it was so beautiful and not so often.
Florian Clément, from the Météo en Pays de Buch Facebook page, obviously did not miss that. Here is his video:
It looks like a territory under bombardment as it farts and explodes …
Florian had seen everything before the storms hit the Basin. Evidenced by his post published Friday morning.
The passage of this stormy area gave heavy rains. Evidenced by this video of Steven Boos in the streets of Arcachon on Twitter.
All this activity in the sky, even planned, is still spectacular.
And this Saturday morning, the sky is gray. It’s nice out. It is not raining. So much the better.
