Work of Rembrandt pupil discovered in garbage container on German highway | Abroad

Cologne – A motorist in Germany has found two valuable oil paintings in a waste container along the highway. The canvases are about 350 years old. These are ‘Portrait of a boy’ by the Dutch Rembrandt pupil Samuel van Hoogstraten (1627-1678) and ‘Laughing self-portrait’, a work from 1665 by the Italian artist Pietro Bellotti.
