Sony is preparing major system firmware update PlayStation 5which will be released later this year and will include a lot of new features. But first, these innovations need to be properly tested. That’s why Sony beta registration opened. This is the first time a Japanese company has invited players to test new features on the PS5 system.
Unfortunately, beta will not be available for Czech and Slovak players. Players over the age of 18 from the USA, Canada, Japan, Great Britain, Germany and France can register. We will see if Sony expands the beta to other regions in the future. Players from our market could also take part in testing the PS4 firmware.

If you live in countries with beta registration enabled, just log in. When selected, you will receive an email and be among the first to try out the new PlayStation 5. At the same time, you will automatically be included in the group of potential participants in future beta versions of the PS5 software without having to re-register.
We still have to wait for the details of what the update will contain. We will find out everything in the coming weeks.
Recall that an update was released in April, which, among other things, added support for an external USB drive. Only PS4 versions of games can be installed on an external drive. The firmware has also brought new social features for the PS5 and PS4, as well as intergenerational Share Play. According to players’ knowledge, it also added the ability to automatically switch video output to non-HDR when you run a game or application that does not support HDR. Plus support for 1080p monitors at 120 Hz.
