The European Commission launched a lawsuit against AstraZeneca at the end of April after the company announced it would supply far fewer corona vaccines. The EU had ordered about 120 million vaccines from AstraZeneca by the end of March and received only about 30 million, by the end of June the promise was 180 million vaccines, but that target was also revised to 100 million. Conclusion: nationwide vaccination campaigns messed up, the EU angry with AstraZeneca over the delay, and the dispute was taken to court. The EU wanted AstraZeneca to deliver more and on time.
