In July and August, five productions will be premiered at the Riga Russian Theater

In July and August, five productions will be premiered at Mikhail Chekhov’s Riga Russian Theater, the theater representative Kristina Tolmajeva informed.

Theater director Dana Bjorka (fig.) Noted that a little over six months have passed since the last day of the performance. Although the theater has been on standby for almost two seasons, it was waiting for news, more favorable changes and new meetings with the audience.

“This has been an extremely unusual time, we are very longing for the audience and we are extremely happy that the waiting time is coming to an end. Especially because we have something to show – we have prepared five new, very diverse performances and we have covered three new stages.” pauda Bjorka.

In July, the premiere will be two performances. The premiere of Veronika Plotnikova’s musical production “In spite of” will take place on July 9 under the direction of Sergei Golomazov. The second project of July was created to mark the 120th anniversary of the poet Alexander Chuck. On July 21, the theater will premiere the production “Chuck. Riga. Woman”, the author of which is Jelena Sigova, and the director – Golomazov.

In August, the theater will invite spectators to three premieres. Tolmajeva pointed out that Mikhail Chekhov’s Riga Russian Theater has a close friendship and cooperation with maestro Raimonds Pauls, therefore on August 5 the concert “Raimonds Pauls at the Riga Russian Theater” in honor of the stage moments created and experienced in 58 years will premiere.

In turn, in the music and drama room “Oratorio” on August 13, the play “Mamma” directed by Ināra Slucka will have its premiere. A spokeswoman for the theater noted that the play by Russian playwright Asya Voloshin was a story about growth and the acceptance of generations.

On August 27, the premiere is expected for a movement performance without the words “paraDIZZY”, which will also take place in the music and drama room “Oratorio” and staged and choreographed by Inga Krasovska. The production is a performance that speaks without words about the phenomena of different eras and cultures, which depict the relationship between men and women, as well as about our fragile but exciting coexistence, Tolmajeva pointed out. Not only the actors of Mikhail Chekhov’s Riga Russian Theater, but also actress Zane Dombrovska and singer Aija Andrejeva-Aišpure have united in the performance.
