Moped rider injured after pushing off slope, police looking for the group of cyclists | Inland

The police reported this on Friday. The moped rider was injured. Nothing is known about the nature of the injuries.

The incident happened around 9.15 am when the moped rider was driving in the direction of Schoorldam. A group of about twenty cyclists came cycling from the opposite direction. The moped rider slowed down and swerved to the left to let them pass, police said.

When passing, the front rider of the group, consisting of men and women, gave the moped rider a push, causing him to drive off the slope, fall and get injured. The moped was also damaged.

Law enforcement

According to police, the cyclist who pushed the victim was wearing an orange cycling jersey with black shorts. Three other cyclists from the group also rode in an orange shirt with black shorts. The rest of the group rode in a uniform of the former Rabobank team.

The police are looking for the group of cyclists and are asking them, or people who know who they are, to report to 0900-8844.
