Banjar News, (harapanrakyat.com),- The Banjar Police Satreskrim Police, West Java Regional Police, managed to arrest HM (43) a resident of Majalengka Regency, the perpetrator of fraud and embezzlement of motorbikes who used to carry out their actions in the Banjar area and various regions.
Before being arrested, the perpetrator carried out the action on June 10, 2021 at around 06.00 WIB at Alfamart Banjar Atas (BA) Parungsari Environment, Karangpanimbal Village, Purwaharja District, Banjar City.
Banjar Police Chief AKBP. Ardiyaningsih revealed that after receiving a report on the incident on June 15, 2021, members of the Banjar Resort Police Sat Reskrim Team received information that the perpetrator was in the Majenang area, Cilacap Regency.
Furthermore, members of the Timsus conducted an investigation in the Majenang area, Cilacap Regency. At around 17.00 WIB, the perpetrators of HM were arrested by officers in a boarding house.
“The perpetrator was arrested while in a boarding house. The perpetrators were immediately detained at the Banjar Police Headquarters,” said AKBP. Ardiyaningsih told reporters, Friday (18/6/2021).
The police chief continued, the perpetrators not only carried out their actions in the Banjar area but also in areas outside Banjar including Majalengka Regency as many as 4 crime scenes (TKP).
The modus operandi of the perpetrators is committing fraud and or embezzlement of motorbikes. The trick is to persuade the victim to be introduced to the perpetrator’s parents.
After successfully seducing the victim, continued AKBP Ardiyaningsih, the perpetrator then took the victim’s vehicle away.
“Initially, the perpetrator got to know the victim through social media Facebook. Then the perpetrator pretended to have a serious relationship with the victim,” explained Ardiyaningsih.
Furthermore, the Police Chief revealed, from the arrest the Police team managed to secure evidence in the form of 1 (one) unit of black Yamaha Mio Brand Motorcycle Vehicle with Nopol Z-5351-KI, along with vehicle ignition keys and motorcycle registration certificates.
Then, 1 (one) SIM in the name of Erna Septianti Rahayu and 1 (one) Black Realme Brand Mobile.
“To account for his actions, the suspect is subject to Article 378 and or Article 372 in conjunction with the Criminal Code with a threat of 4 years in prison,” he concluded. (Muhlisin / R7 / HR-Online)
