Christian Eriksen witnessed the defeat Denmark National Team from Belgium through the rich screen. After the match, Eriksen encouraged his team-mates.
Denmark vs Belgium is presented on the second matchday of Group B Euro 2020 at Parken Stadium, Thursday (17/6/2021) night WIB, the host was already winning 1-0 in the second minute through Yussuf Poulsen’s goal. The score lasted until halftime.
Belgium, who only had one chance in the first half, made a change. Kevin De Bruyne came on early in the second half to replace Dries Mertens.
De Bruyne was then able to create an assist for Thorgan Hazard’s goal in the 55th minute. The Manchester City midfielder then brought Belgium to a 2-1 win after scoring a goal through Eden Hazard’s assist.
Eriksen, who was in the hospital after collapsing on the first matchday, also witnessed the struggles of his teammates. He gives support to Martin Braithwaite et al, who suffered defeat.
“Eriksen messaged the group Whatsapp After the game, he said we were fantastic, I read the text on the way to the dressing room,” Braithwaite told a press conference, quoted by Football Italia.
“We had a great start, we proved mentally strong. We played for Christian and the whole country. We felt the whole stadium on our side, it was incredible.”
This was the second defeat for Denmark after previously falling 0-1 to Finland. The step to the last 16 is even more difficult for Denmark because the only way is to beat Russia and hope to qualify as one of the best four positions.
“We will win the first game, I am sure about that. But we were forced to play after what happened. We still have zero points, but I feel we will qualify,” the Barcelona striker insisted.
