Reveals stories about the Kardashian family from behind the scenes – VG

Led by talk show host Andy Cohen, sisters Kim (40), Khloé (36) and Kourtney Kardashian (42), Kendall (25) and Kylie Jenner (23) line up in a two-episode reunion interview.

Also matriarch and “momanger” Kris Jenner (63) and Kourtney ex Scott Disick (38) participate.

The first part is broadcast on the American E! Thursday 17 June, while the second part can be seen on Sunday 20 June.

In the commercial for the program, it seems that Kris Jenner comments on why the family chose to end the reality show that has made them sugary super celebrities:

– We all feel overwhelmed. We have been doing it for so long, says Kris Jenner.

Scott admits responsibility

Former cohabitants Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Discik, who have three children together, are the highlight of the commercial.

– Do you think that the relationship would have ended differently if you had not shared so much on the show? asks host Andy Cohen to Kourtney and Scott.

– Probably, Kourney answers calmly, while a surprised and hopeful Kim exclaims:

– Really?

– Yes, but his drug abuse destroyed, Kourtney answers.

– I was irresponsible, Scott states.

He flew scheduled flights and made himself up

The film industry magazine Variety has interviewed the show’s producer Farnaz Farjam, who has been working on the series since its premiere in 2007.

She shares several of the show’s behind-the-scenes secrets and how the show has affected the family.

According to the producer, Kris and Kim must have been most excited and had lots of plans, while Caitlyn Jenner – who was then called Bruce Jenner – originally did not want the family to make a reality show.

When the series began, Jenner was the family’s most famous, known as the 10-game winner for the United States during the 1976 Summer Olympics, when she was still a man.

The glamor factor must have been low the first season. While little sister Kylie Jenner has now become a dollar billionaire on her own make-up brand, the TV production did not have the budget for professional hair and make-up in the beginning.

The Kardashian family also flew scheduled flights in the beginning, the manufacturer reveals. Only Caitlyn and Kris flew business.

– It was not until season 4 that they renegotiated the contract and everyone got to fly business or better. Within seasons 7 and 8, we started using private jets. Then there was a complete end to scheduled flights, except for a rare time when we got someone to fly first class, says Farjam to Variety.

Nanny provided focus

The turning point in celebrity came after season 4, the producer remembers. From then on, the Kardashian family was recognized everywhere. By season 7, there was a need for security guards around the clock.

The need for security and babysitters made up an increasing share of the budget as Kourtney had children Mason (11), Penelope (8) and Rein (6), while Kim and ex-husband Kanye West got North (8), Saint (5), Chicago ( 3) and Psalm (2).

In addition, Kylie has a daughter Stormi (3), while Khloé has a daughter True (3).

His brother Rob Kardashian, who eventually withdrew from the series, has a daughter named Dream (3).

– In order to keep everyone’s attention, we had to make sure that everyone had nannies who were there daily because the children distracted all the time, says a laughing Farjam to the trade magazine.

Kendall’s boyfriend rule

According to the producer, the youngest sister Kylie Jenner was most open to filming all aspects of life, except pregnancy, which she kept secret. When she discovered she was pregnant, Kylie filmed the spin-off series “Life of Kylie”, but is said to have kept the pregnancy a secret for the TV staff as well.

Supermodel sister Kendall Jenner’s rule was to never film a boyfriend without dating him for at least a year.

– It was so funny because she and her previous boyfriend had been together for almost a year. I was going to make an episode with him. And then they broke up. And I just: «Of course! Oh no! ”Says producer Farjam.

The family is also said to have occasionally leaked lies about pregnancy to check if they could trust the TV staff.

Did not think she would be a good mother

The biggest surprise seems to be that producer Farjam got it from Kourtney Kardashian, who must have been afraid that she would not become a good mother. Children should not have been the elder sister’s focus.

– Then she got pregnant by accident and Mason was born and her whole life and perspective changed. She has never loved anything more than she loves her children. Now that she has realized in her 40s that her life goal is happiness, she has become a free, fun person.

According to the producer, the toughest thing in the series must have been the break-up between Kourtney and Scott, and the time Caitlyn Jenner went from being a man to a woman. Jenner recently announced that she wants to be governor of California.

The breakup of Kim and Kanye West must have been much easier, producer Farjam claims:

– Kim handled it privately.
