In 2020 the AEW wanted to visit more new cities in the United States, such as the New York market. Unfortunately the pandemic quickly halted the plans.
Today we learn that the AEW will go to New York City for the first time on September 22, 2021. Indeed, the show will take place at the Arthur Ashe Stadium tennis stadium in the Flushing district of New York. A stadium that can accommodate more than 23,000 people and ticket sales will begin on July 16.
It will not be a simple edition of AEW Dynamite as it will take place under the theme ” Grand Slam ”. At the moment we don’t have a lot of details on this ” Dynamite: Grand Slam ” theme, but Tony Khan explained that it will be a show as important as ” Winter is Coming ” or ” Blood and Guts ”.
