Microsoft has reopened its Xbox Design Lab for ordering custom Xbox controllers. This time, interested parties can customize the colors of the updated version of the Xbox controller. Text can also be engraved.
Xbox Design Lab had been around for several years, but after Microsoft revamped the Xbox controller last year, it was no longer possible to order custom controllers. Microsoft now announces that the website to adjust controllers to your liking is open again. According to the Xbox manufacturer, personalized controllers are supplied in ‘most Western European countries’.
There is already a Nederlandse Xbox Design Lab-site, but during the ordering process, users are redirected to the US page and only prices are shown in dollars. Users can choose from 18 colors to customize different details of the controller. This can be done entirely to your own taste, or on the basis of templates.
A custom controller costs a minimum of $70 and a laser-engraved text costs an additional $10. The prices do not include taxes and shipping costs. Previously, the euro price was at least 80 euros for a custom controller.
