(CercleFinance.com) – Sanofi Pasteur announced Thursday that its Swiftwater, Pennsylvania site has successfully passed an FDA inspection, which will allow it to produce additional doses of its influenza vaccine.
The green light from the health authority will offer the biopharmaceutical laboratory the possibility of opening additional production lines for its Fluzone High-Dose Quadrivalent vaccine for the winter season 2021-2022.
In particular, the project should lead to the creation of 200 new jobs.
“We are benefiting from a strong increase in demand for our vaccines in the United States and around the world,” explained Elaine O’Hara, sales director of Sanofi Pasteur in North America.
