Fernando Suanzes renews his position as superior prosecutor of Galicia. This Tuesday there has been a vote in the fiscal council, he has obtained 6 votes in favor of his candidacy, compared to 4 for the progressive Pilar Fernandez and the only vote that the proposal of the chief prosecutor of Pontevedra has received, Juan Carlos Aladro, according to sources from the State Attorney General’s Office consulted by the SER.
Suanzes will continue for five more years as head of the Galician Prosecutor’s Office. The attorney general, Dolores Delgado, has chosen to keep Suanzes, with a conservative profile, against the renewal proposal headed by the prosecutor Pilar Fernández, belonging to the Progressive Union of Prosecutors.
Delgado has used the appointment in Galicia to silence the criticism of the Association of Prosecutors, to which Suanzes belongs, and who accuses her of promoting like-minded prosecutors with a progressive profile.
