“Against the breakage of unemployment insurance”, the CGT du Rhône calls for a day of strike and demonstration this Thursday, June 17.
From 1is July, new methods of calculating unemployment insurance will apply. According to the CGT, unemployment benefits will then drop “very significantly for a large part of the beneficiaries”.
When the Ministry of Labor ensures that the reform must make it possible to “Fight against the precariousness linked to the increase in short contracts” , for the CGT on the contrary “the most affected workers will be the most precarious: short contracts, part-time, temporary workers …”
In April and May, everywhere in France and in particular at the Opéra de Lyon and at the TNP of Villeurbanne, artists, but also the unemployed, precarious employees mobilized to denounce this reform.

“Reducing the benefits of all the unemployed will force employees to accept any job in order to survive” worries the departmental union CGT du Rhône.
The union is calling for a demonstration this Thursday, June 17 from 11:30 a.m. from Les Brotteaux in Lyon. The procession will join the quai Augagneur at the level of the prefecture.
