The double murder of Michèle Marinescu, 43, and her daughter Christine, 13, on January 7, 1993 in their house in Sassenage, has just been clarified, said Grenoble prosecutor Eric Vaillant. Twenty-eight years after the events, the gendarmerie arrested Marian Marinescu, Michèle’s husband and father of little Christine.
According to information from Dauphiné Liberated, it is the exploitation of DNA traces and recent advances in science that have led to suspect Marian Marinescu. This genetic material was allegedly taken from the links that were used to immobilize Michèle Marinescu on the day of the murder. According to the prosecutor, little Christine was raped before being killed.
