According to some newspapers, Meghan will be her husband Harry’s ‘secret guest’ during the celebration in London. “She knows how much he hated going to Prince Philip’s funeral alone,” an insider told ‘The Mirror’. “He was ignored by most of his family. Meghan doesn’t want to do that to him again, so she’s considering traveling to the UK this summer.”

In addition, the celebration is very meaningful to Harry. “He and William have been working on the statue since 2017,” said the same insider. “It’s very important to them. Chances are, Meghan will want to attend that special moment in his life, on the day that would have been Diana’s 60th birthday.”

Others are not at all convinced of her presence. Expert Phil Dampier doesn’t see it happening. “She will want to avoid that media attention. She would be way too much in the spotlight if she came to London, and on top of that she would have to take her kids with her. That seems completely unlikely. Neither the royal family nor the British are waiting for her, she is no longer popular on those sides. If you ask me, Meghan will just stay home in Los Angeles this summer, along with Archie and Lilibet. The latter is only a month old, the perfect excuse not to come. If she’s smart, she’ll stay away from the palace for a while.”
