Injured by paraglider action near Germany-France

According to Greenpeace, the paraglider was not intended to land. He would have thrown a ball onto the field of the Allianz Arena and then had to fly away again. As he flew into the stadium, he appeared to hit one of the cables hanging from the roof to control the ‘floating’ camera above the pitch. As a result, the paratrooper lost control and skimmed over the audience.

Two men in the stadium were injured in the flying incident. According to the German police and UEFA, they were taken to a hospital for further medical treatment. The severity of their injuries is not yet known. The activist was taken away by some stewards.

Greenpeace regrets the outcome. “We apologize that today’s Greenpeace action had to make an emergency landing due to a technical failure. People were endangered as a result,” writes the German branch of the organization on Twitter.
