New York US actress Lisa Banes died in New York at the age of 65 about ten days after being hit by a hit-and-run in a traffic accident. She died of her injuries in a clinic.
The actress, who among other things had a role in the film “Gone Girl – The Perfect Victim” in 2014, succumbed to her injuries in a hospital, reported numerous US media on Tuesday, citing her manager.

“We are very sad about the tragic and senseless death of Lisa”, manager David Williams was quoted as saying. Born in 1955 in the US state of Ohio, the actress was known for numerous roles in films, TV series and on New York’s Broadway. In the accident in early June, Banes was hit by a type of motorcycle or scooter on a street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The driver escaped and could not be identified.
