President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok said that credit card facilities for the board of directors, commissioners and managers were removed. The policy was discussed in the general meeting of shareholders (GMS) because it is considered as a control from inappropriate use and has nothing to do with efforts to advance the company.
In response to this, Member of Commission VI of the PDI-P faction, Mufti Anam, supported the move. According to him, this strengthens the criticism that so far there are still many who are inefficient in SOEs.
“There are credit cards and many other irrelevant facilities, even though all of them have no impact on improving the business performance of SOEs,” he said detik.com, Tuesday (15/6/2021).
He also gave a number of notes on the excessive facilities received by officials at state-owned companies so far. First, the Minister of SOEs needs to strictly regulate the facilities provided to directors and commissioners.
“Salary, insurance, official travel expenses, and bonuses are sufficient. In fact, it is quite large for certain SOEs,” he said.
Second, build a stricter system related to the performance appraisal of the directors and commissioners who have been given extraordinary facilities. According to him, so far there have been performance indicators but the evaluation has never been clear. Some have good performance but are suddenly replaced. According to him, the ministry’s subjectivity is high.
“Third, the people knock on the conscience of the SOE directors. They must have a sense of crisis in a situation like this. Some SOEs have remuneration for directors and commissioners in the tens to hundreds of billions. For example, state-owned banks have complained that MSMEs have complained about complicated credit access, ceilings KUR without collateral is Rp. 100 million but in fact it uses collateral. Finally, illegal lending has spread, and has ensnared teachers and small people, due to the inability of financial services SOEs to expand financial inclusion,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Member of Commission VI Andre Rosiade said, Ahok which removes the credit card facility of the Pertamina official needs to be viewed objectively and fairly, whether the facility is a claim or personal interest. According to him, however, the management has many assignments and credit cards provide practicality.
“However, the management has many assignments, the directors have many duties to receive guests for company affairs, and that is from a practical point of view with the company’s credit card, it is clear and can be audited. long,” he said.
He stated that he supports the spirit of efficiency. However, he also said that management also sometimes needs these facilities.
According to him, in the future the most important thing is to ensure that facilities for Pertamina’s officials are not misused.
“Frankly, going back and forth is also affected. From the spirit of efficiency I agree, but after all, management also has tasks that sometimes require these facilities. And we know that big companies all use this facility for transparency. maybe in the future, don’t let this facility be misused, just audit it,” he said.
